40 Days of Prayer Booklet Information This year in our “40 Days of Prayer” we will be developing a devotional book for the people of the church. Last year we followed a book developed by another source and it was sent out daily to those who joined the program. This year we are taking a different approach. Because we are working through the concept of “discipleship in the context of community”, we are seeking the community’s input in the development of this devotional book. Similar to the Daily Bread format, we will be focusing on various scriptures, having a small devotional and a focus driven prayer following the A.C.T.S. written by various “disciples of Christ” in the context of the community within our local congregations. We are asking you if you would be willing to join us in the project. Here is what is required.
You would be given an assigned passage of scripture and you would write a small devotional thought about the passage.
The length of the devotional thought would be from 100 words to a maximum of 250 words to accommodate the format of the book.
It would be great if you would be willing to allow your name to be noted in the booklet, but anonymous submissions will be published, but the author will be known by the elders.
There are other parts of the daily sections that you could include such as:
Title of the devotional
Main thought idea or specific verse for the devotional
C- Confession – not personal but general
Deadline for submission is Feb 15th, 2020
If you would like to participate, please contact the office or Pastor Paris and you will be assigned a verse.
